All original 1964 SG Standard from the collection of Scott Thurston of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. This is your oppurtunity to own the highly coveted George Harrison spec '64 SG. So much vibe in this guitar that it can hardly be described, but we do our best.
 
Normal weather checking to top, back, neck and headstock. Top shows a few small dings and scrapes; some minor vinyl burn on back probably from a strap or cable. Some knicks and dings present on front of headstock, as well as some cigarette burns on face of headstock between A and D string tuners. Neck is very comfortable shape, not too flat with a nice round feeling throughout. Original frets show moderate wear primarily at 1st position. Original patent no. pickups sound fantastic. Pots date to thirty-something week of 1963. Neck is straight and action is absolutely perfect with room to adjust as needed. Truss rod functioning normally. Original pick guard is slightly warped but not broken. Comes with original Gibson hard case.
